About the Artist
Hailey-Ann Booth nee Menzies was born and raised in Livingston Scotland. She started drawing at a young age and started selling
work at the age of 16. Hailey-Ann later received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Manchester, before moving to Aberdeen where she began working as a ceramic instructor. In 2005 Hailey-Ann moved to Houston Texas with her husband for his work. This move was a good opportunity to take her career further and in 2006 she started her business selling art as well as working towards becoming an art teacher. The business kept her busy however it was put on the backburner for a few years to help Hailey-Ann focus on becoming a teacher as well as expanding her family. In the three years after moving to Texas she became a fully certified Art teacher in Katy ISD as well as giving her first son a brother and sister. This brings us to 2013; Hailey-Ann is now in her first year as an Art teacher at Cinco Ranch Jr High and has taught Art at the elementary level for three years, she is a percussionist and board member of the Lone Star symphonic band and a mother to three crazy beautiful children. Hailey-Ann has decided that she should start painting again now that she has the room to start up her home studio, and her career is heading in a good direction (and the kids are not going to eat the paint).
Stay tuned there will be art added weekly, and she will keep you posted on the progress of up and coming projects.
Thank you to my Grandfather George McGill for inspiring me to become an artist, and my uncle Graeme and my Mum Alice for showing me that you should keep painting and my husband Phil for always being there for me.
